Webinar Schedule: On-demand

Expiry: 31 December 2022

-----------------------------

On 20 September 2022, Indonesia's House of Representatives (DPR) ratified the Personal Data Protection (PDP) bill as law.

The PDP Law will apply to any person, foreign and domestic organisation, both public and private, including an International Organisation that processes the personal data of Indonesian citizens and other activities stipulated under the PDP Law.

What does the new law mean and how will it affect companies in ASEAN? Join Kevin Shepherdson and his panellists as they dissect and discuss what this new law means for us.

Some of the questions that will be answered include:

1. What is the scope of the law and what are its key provisions?

2. Are DPOs mandatory under the law?

3. How does it compare with other PDP laws in the ASEAN region?

4. What are the important terminologies?

5. Who is under the purview of the law and is there a grace period for organisations to comply?

6. When will the law be fully implemented?

7. What are the penalties for those that fail to comply with the law?
